15 June 2022Dr. Şahin Çetin
Dr. Şahin Çetin holds a BA in Teaching English from Boğaziçi University. He received a MA in Educational Administration from Marmara University, Istanbul, in 2001 and a Ph.D. in the same field from Gazi University, Ankara, in 2011. Dr. Çetin worked as a member of the Turkish Armed Forces at Kuleli Military High School, Turkish Military Academy, and Army War College serving as a teacher and a faculty member. Throughout his career in the armed forces, he participated in various professional training programs, including four certificate programs at the Defense Language Institute ELC in the United States. Çetin also worked as a faculty member at Maltepe University College of Education between 2017 and 2020. With research interests centering on leadership and organizational behavior at educational institutions, Dr. Çetin has published extensively in national/international journals.
Melike Ersin
Melike Ersin studied at Ege University, Department of American Culture and Literature. She spent one year in Poland with the Erasmus program in the English Philology department and finished her BA in 2013. Having received her BA, she was certified as an official teacher by Dokuz Eylül University and worked in various private middle and high schools as an English Teacher. Following this experience, she received her CELTA certificate from Cambridge University. Currently, she is an MA student in the English Language Teaching department and has been teaching prep classes at the tertiary level for the last six years.
Can Berk İzmirden
Can Berk İzmirden, graduating from American College Institute in 2006, did his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto, Canada. He majored in ‘International Development Studies’ and double-minored in ‘Political Science’ and ‘Economics for Management.’ After graduating from university, he returned to Turkey and worked in different occupation areas, such as public relations, translation, and journalism. He embarked on his teaching journey after receiving his TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) diploma with a distinction at Queen English TESOL Center in 2015. Subsequently, he worked as an English teacher at various institutions such as Canada Culture Center, InfoLANG Language Schools, and Bilge Adam Academy. He obtained his TESOL Test Preparation (IELTS & TOEFL) diploma in 2016 and started to work at Queen English Language School as an ESL, IELTS & TOEFL instructor. From 2019 to 2022, he also worked as a TESOL trainer.
Dr. Ece Saltan Iheme
Ece Saltan Iheme completed her undergraduate degree at Boğaziçi University, Department of Translation and Interpreting, in 2011. After graduation, she went to the United States to continue her education with graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, in the Women’s and Gender Studies Master’s Program and Sociocultural Anthropology PhD Program, respectively. Throughout her studies, she earned scholarships from various private and state institutions. During her graduate studies, she also worked as a teaching assistant and offered undergraduate courses. Since 2016, she has been pursuing a career in education as an English teacher, teaching General English, Academic English, Business English, and Exam Preparation courses. In addition to the professional development training she attended, she had various responsibilities in the institutes she worked at, including curriculum development, exam preparation, and level coordination. Since 2018, she has worked as an English instructor at higher education institutes’ English Preparatory and Undergraduate programs.
